Your partner for mental health risk assessment

Since 2014, the German Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG) has required the consideration of mental stress in the risk assessment according to §§ 4 & 5: Regardless of the number of employees, employers are obligated to assess corresponding risk factors in the company and minimize them through appropriate measures.

The implementation of GB Psych poses major challenges in terms of requirements and content. Contrary to popular belief, it is not the individual employees that need to undergo psychological assessment. The goal is to assess potential stress factors in the existing workplace conditions, such as:

  • Work organization (e.g. work processes, authorizations, personnel structures)

  • Work environment (e.g. noise level)

  • Social components (e.g. management style, work atmosphere, age structure)

  • Process quality, resources, etc.

Therefore, it is crucial that the mental risk assessment is carried out in a professional manner, but also meets the possibilities and needs of the respective company.
